Master and second bedrooms open onto an east-facing deck with stunning lakeside view. Private dock with 2 kayaks and tennis court also included.

Spacious, bright open plan lounge with views of the lake and a large T.V. offering Sky and Netflix. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the birdlife from the decks or head out walking, cycling, fishing or boating in the surrounding lakes and trails. Comfortable, carpeted bedrooms all with ensuites. A New England style home, made comfortable by the owners who are a family of artists.
Guest Access
Summer Lake has gated access for those staying on the lake and the code will be given to guests before arrival. The code allows pedestrian access through a gate into a wonderful network of woodland paths, one of which follows the historic Thames and Severn Canal. Guests can use the tennis court, a short walk from the house through landscaped gardens. Guests can bring their own rod - with an Environment Agency Rod License - and fish from our private dock.
The Neighborhood
Summer Lake is one of over 180 lakes created from gravel pits into a beautiful wetlands landscape. The lakes vary in size, some with restaurants and recreational facilities, such as sailing and kayaking. They are an oasis for wildlife, with a huge variety of birds living in the area all year round. The lakes are linked by a network of footpaths and lanes perfect for exploring by foot, bicycle or car. Pubs and shops are in villages close by and there is easy access for local tourist attractions such as the Cotswold villages and Cirencester. Summer Lake, where this comfortable home is situated, is a quiet location enjoyed by just the residents of the lake - which includes the sometimes rather vocal birdlife!
Getting Around
Summer Lake offers free parking for up to 3 cars. Once you’ve arrived you can either drive between the lakes to enjoy the variety of facilities or go by bike which you can hired nearby. Several cafes, restaurants and recreation centres are within walking distance. The nearest train station is Kemble.
Notes
Perfect for family get togethers, and close to Cripps Farm, a popular wedding venue. Noise carries over water so consideration is required for other residents enjoying the site at all times. TV, music or socialising should not be audible in another property and there is a cut-off time of 11 pm for such activities on the outside decks. Stag or hen parties are not permitted. This property is on the water, so water safety must be practiced at all times. Swimming is not permitted on this lake, but there are locations in The Park where it is. Kayaking, paddleboarding and rowing are allowed but are undertaken at the guest’s own risk. Buoyancy aides must be worn when boating. Please note that since the property is on the lake and we try to use environmentally friendly cleaning methods, there may be pollen, seeds, spiders and insects near the house as they are very common in the area.
