Space
Farmington is a pretty, traditional village nestled in rolling hills in the heart of the Cotswolds. Gorgeous Granary Cottage is located in a former farmstead just off the village green. The property has been designed and furnished to a high standard and is both stylish and relaxing. French doors welcome you inside to a stunning new open-plan kitchen and dining space, kitted out with everything you need for a romantic evening cooking or a leisurely meal with family or friends. The dining area leads into a bright, stylish living room, with comfortable sofa and armchairs. A traditional Cotswold Stone fireplace with wood-burner makes it warm and cosy. There are two beautiful double bedrooms in the cottage, thoughtfully designed to ensure a sound nights' sleep, served by a modern Spanish tiled bathroom with walk-in shower. If you're looking for an idyllic and peaceful break, Granary Cottage is the perfect place. The cottage has its own garden with patio and is the perfect base for exploring. There are many lovely local walks for dogs and their humans and the village lies on a well-known cycling route. The nearby medieval wool town of Northleach two miles away has two good pubs, a friendly wine bar and cafes including Lynwood's and The Old Prison. Scenic Bourton on the Water, with the River Windrush flowing through, is a short drive (or a long walk) and has many visitor attractions. The cottage is well placed to visit picturesque Cotswolds villages and viewpoints. Oxford and Shakespeare’s birthplace Stratford upon Avon are both within an hour’s drive. Historic local houses include Sudeley Castle and Blenheim Palace and, within half an hour, you can be in Cirencester (the second largest Roman town in England) or Cheltenham, which has a wealth of cultural attractions, retail opportunities, restaurants and bars. The stylish town was a famous Regency Spa and is renowned for the music, literary and science festivals it hosts throughout the year - including the famous Cheltenham horse-racing festival in March.
