Situated in the thriving Magdalen Road area of East Oxford, great pubs, cafes and restaurants are on the doorstep. For central Oxford it is only 15 mins walk to Magdalen Bridge, or just 2 minutes to the bus. Meadow lane and Aston’s Eyot Nature Reserve are a stones throw for a leisurely stroll along the River Thames.
Space
The open plan living and kitchen area, are comfortable and homely. The living space is modern and fresh with a wood-burner for cosy nights in. The double French doors open out onto a private patio which is for your sole use, with access to a shared garden. The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine and coffee maker. There is a spacious bedroom with a super king size bed, black out blinds, and top quality Hybrid Simba mattress. The blue sofa bed with a pocket sprung mattress provides space for an extra one to two people if required. The bathroom has the world’s smallest bath with a luxurious rainfall shower.

The Neighborhood
An up-and-coming trendy area of East Oxford with a local buzz centred around the Magdalen Road. Taste of Tibet, Oli’s Thai and Green Routes (vegan) offer some of the best food in Oxford. The Rusty Bicycle, Magdalen Arms and the Chester Arms are great pubs with craft ales and great menus. All of these within a few minutes walk. At the end of Magdalen Road is the popular Cowley Road with a wealth of bars, and restaurants, the Ultimate Picture House cinema, and the O2 Academy music venue. Further afield, 20 minutes walk from the flat along the river, is the Isis Farmhouse next to the Iffley Locks - a fantastic pub with outdoor seating next to the Thames only accessible from the towpath. If you like live music and a ramshackle characterful pub, head there on a Sunday evening for Gypsy Jazz. Walk into Oxford along the Thames and there is the excellent Head of the River pub, or along Meadow Lane, you can walk through the water meadows leading to Christchurch College. With Magdalen Bridge only a 15 minute walk away, the historic centre of Oxford is easily accessible.
Getting Around
A regular bus service operates from the end of Stanley Road, just two minutes walk from the house.
Notes
Please note the kitchen does not have a dishwasher and there is no TV in the property. The private patio is your sole use, and you are welcome to use the garden, but the garden has shared access with the two flats above.
